What a goal is not: a fuzzy, amorphous feeling you wish your visitors would have. (Goals should be specific!)
Why we care about goals: Defining your goal will help you in your conversion optimization process. You need to know what your goal is, whether that be newsletter sign-ups, widget sales, white paper downloads, or contact requests.
