What are Targets? -Clickipedia

Share

What a target is: In Adobe Test&Target terms, targeting is the ability to display something different (content or campaigns) to different segments.

What a target is not: interchangeable with “segments” (in Adobe Test&Target). Segments and targets work together, but they’re not the same.

Why we care about targets: Targeting allows a marketer to really show the user what they need to see. For example, you could set up a target to show users coming from an email something very specific, while all other users get the default content. It’s a way to make sure the appropriate users are seeing the appropriate things.
