Each week at Brooks Bell, we have a short meeting Friday morning with the entire team. During the meeting we get updates on tests and the company, and award a “Star of the Week.”
This week, our Star is optimization analyst Molly Bruckman! She is an awesome member of our team, truly lives our core values, and always keeps us laughing! Congratulations Molly!
What should companies look for when hiring an analyst?
A great analyst is someone who is not just going to report numbers, but is passionate about making sense of the data and understanding the story it tells. Companies should look for analysts who are going to consider the data at a high level, but are also driven to dive into the details and figure out what is going on.
For marketers who are not as advanced with analytics, what are some ways that they can improve upon their skills?
Stay curious my friends! Instead of going to your analyst for an answer, ask them how you can find it yourself. If you are constantly seeking to answer your questions, you will learn a great deal about how to obtain the data you are interested in.
The Brooks Bell office is a great place to spend your days and has a lot of pretty cool spots – which one is your favorite and why?
In warm weather I love to sit out on the balcony, enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, and do a little people watching. In not so warm weather, I enjoy people watching and sunshine from my desk/jungle (which is pretty much the best seat in the place and harbors much plant growth). And of course, when the Sweetwater Ice gentlemen are here with Italian Ice, the parking lot is everyone’s favorite spot in the office!
The Brooks Bell Star of the Week is a team member who has gone above and beyond typical expectations during the week. The award is designed to empower our team and ensure everyone’s hard work is appreciated and recognized.
The winner receives a large trophy they get to keep for the entire week, fully equipped with extra Nerf darts (extra protection for those impromptu Nerf wars). They also get the honor of selecting the following week’s winner.
Sound like fun? Check to see if we’re hiring.
