Each week at Brooks Bell, we have a short meeting Friday morning with the entire team. During the meeting we get updates on tests and the company, and award a “Star of the Week.”
This week, our Star is support analyst, Molly Bruckman. Molly joined us in September, and has been a great addition to the team. Already she has made strides on the analytics team, working with JJ and Brian to improve our process. Congratulations Molly!
Where are you from, and how did you end up in Raleigh at Brooks Bell?
I’m from Boston and ended up in Raleigh BECAUSE of Brooks Bell! I had heard great things about the company and decided to apply on a whim, feeling “tired of the cold up in New England.” I came down for an interview and fell in love with the area, the culture, and the office space. I haven’t even been here a month, but I’ve been quite happy so far!
Which of Brooks Bell’s core values resonates with you most and why?
This is a hard question to answer because all of the values are very important to me, but if I had to pick, I’d have to say Create Happiness is my number one. I love to make other people happy and tend to go out of my way to do so. Seeing other people smile is what brings me the most happiness, so I will do anything I can to make that happen.
What would you test? (Other than client testing, of course)
Probably cheese, but I don’t think I could keep it to A/B testing…
Favorite work/life quote or slogan?
“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.” — George R. R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
What do you do outside of work? Any hobbies?
The only thing I’m really doing right now is kickball since I just moved, but I am planning to get back into figure skating and musical theatre, two things that make me very happy! I love being on the ice and I love hockey, but I always get jealous watching the games when I’m not out there skating myself.
The Brooks Bell Star of the Week is a team member who has gone above and beyond typical expectations during the week. The award is designed to empower our team and ensure everyone’s hard work is appreciated and recognized.
The winner receives a large trophy they get to keep for the entire week, fully equipped with extra Nerf darts (extra protection for those impromptu Nerf wars). They also get the honor of selecting the following week’s winner.
