Each week at Brooks Bell, we have a short meeting Friday morning with the entire team. During the meeting we get updates on tests and the company, and award a “Star of the Week.”
This week, our star is optimization engineer Chad Pry. As work has expanded thanks to the addition of several new clients, Chad has remained as detail-oriented as ever. Congratulations Chad!
What is a challenge you faced and overcame in the past weeks?
We have been focusing on an agile approach to our development, as well as project strategy. Adapting to the flexibility and responsibilities involved has been refreshing, but a bit challenging.
What’s the best part about being a developer at Brooks Bell?
Brooks Bell is my home away from home. I’m surrounded by hardworking friends that help keep me happy and motivated.
Do you have any advice for aspiring developers or those new to the field?
Take it one step at a time as you really only have to understand the code one line at time.
The Brooks Bell Star of the Week is a team member who has gone above and beyond typical expectations during the week. The award is designed to empower our team and ensure everyone’s hard work is appreciated and recognized.
The winner receives a large trophy they get to keep for the entire week, fully equipped with extra Nerf darts (extra protection for those impromptu Nerf wars). They also get the honor of selecting the following week’s winner.
Sound like fun? Check to see if we’re hiring.
