Each week at Brooks Bell, we have a short meeting Friday morning with the entire team. During the meeting we get updates on tests and the company, and award a “Star of the Week.”
This week our Star is client manager, Sally Smith. Sally is a great resource for new team members and an awesome client manager. If you’re having a bad day, stop by Sally’s desk for a silly joke! Congratulations Sally!
Yes – this is one to write home about! Recently heard it and thought it was worth repeating. “What did the windmill say when she met her favorite celebrity? Nice to meet you. I’m a really big fan.” 🙂
What advice would you give to a company just starting out with testing?
1) Be patient – it takes a while to ramp up to a successful testing program.
2) Align on company goals in regards to testing early on.
3) And don’t be afraid of flat tests or tests that had challengers that performed negatively. That still empowers you with a lot of knowledge about your website and the needs of your users.
What would you test? (Other than client testing, of course)
I’d actually want to do more controlled testing on the plants/seeds I plant in my garden. It’s really interesting when you make it through the summer and the plants you expected to survive and thrive actually died… and the ones you didn’t think stood a chance are producing more fruit than you thought possible!
The Brooks Bell Star of the Week is a team member who has gone above and beyond typical expectations during the week. The award is designed to empower our team and ensure everyone’s hard work is appreciated and recognized.
The winner receives a large trophy they get to keep for the entire week, fully equipped with extra Nerf darts (extra protection for those impromptu Nerf wars). They also get the honor of selecting the following week’s winner.
Sound like fun? Check to see if we’re hiring.
